Location. The coastal foothills of Carlsbad, Calif., provide a spectacular backdrop for La Costa Resort and Spa, a hacienda style retreat resting on 400 acres. The hotel is two miles from Carlsbad Beach and eight miles from Carlsbad Village. Transportation around the resort is provided to guests 24 hours a day.
Hotel Features. California coastal cuisine is presented at BlueFire Grill for lunches and dinners, while Legends features buffet style breakfasts and al fresco dining. Marketplace offers pastries, coffee and cool drinks, and Spa Cafe serves healthy fare, wine and smoothies to spa patrons. Conference space and business services are provided, as is wireless Internet access. The La Costa Resort and Spa is renowned for its two 18 hole golf courses, and hosts the World Golf Championships, Accenture Match Play Championship and Acura Classic Women's Tennis Tournament. Pro shops are available, as are 19 tennis courts that provide a choice of two playing surfaces. Steam rooms, saunas and an athletic club with personal trainers and fitness classes are featured at the Spa at La Costa, where treatments include the Spanish Herbal Body Rub and the Avocado Body Masque. Family amenities include supervised children's activities provided by Club La Costa, and a family pool with a beach and dramatic, flaming fountains.
Guestrooms. The 511 guestrooms and suites of La Costa Resort and Spa feature custom crafted mahogany finished furniture and d�cor in rich earth tone hues. Bathrooms feature terry cloth bathrobes. Select accommodations include patios or balconies, separate showers and soaking bathtubs, and fireplaces. Each room includes flat screen televisions and high speed Internet access. Minibars and refrigerators are available upon request.
Expert Tip. In addition to this property's world class spa and athletic club, La Costa Resort and Spa is home to wellness guru Deepak Chopra's Chopra Center where weekday Chopra yoga and meditation classes are offered.
